Friends

So Alice totally has my number (as if that is news). When we got up this morning I started cleaning the house. Alice promptly asked me, "Are friends coming over?" LOL I tried to convince her that Mama likes a clean house, but she wasn't buying it. So we called Ally and thankfully her schedule was open. Mama also had a playdate this morning with Tania. We took Alice to the playground, and Tania brought Alice her children's play table . . . I spent many hours at this table coloring with her kids, so it so special to have it for Alice. So far we have now eaten every meal at this table!

When Ally was over, the girls did a stupendous job at playing together. We did bubbles and played on the playground in our backyard. We also played upstairs with the babies. At one point Alice even changed Ally's diaper!

Last weekend we went to Daniella's birthday party. When Alice heard we were going to a party, she told me she needed to wear something fancy. This a result of reading Mo Willems Elephant and Piggy book, "I am invited to a party!" which culminates in a fancy pool costume party. We stuck to plain fancy, and pulled out a skirt my aunt Laura had given her. She had such a good time at the party with her friends, she has asked me several times today when Daniella's birthday is this weekend . . . lol.

People are always commenting to me on what a little Mami Alice is (to whit: changing Ally's diaper today). Lately she has been asking me to fashion an ergo for her so she can carry her babies around. It is so cute. She even wore her baby to school this way one day on the bus.
