Alice is ready to visit Sam and Caleb in the mid-West, drink beer, and eat sauerbraten. How do I know? She has been scooting around the house saying, "Bitte, Bitte, Bitte."
She also says, "Bidip, bidip, bidip." She is definitely working on putting her consonants together. So far her lexicon includes:
beh
Yep, besides Dada and Mama, that's pretty much it. However, it is multipurpose. Beh can mean balloon, bear, kitten, bird.
And most of her vocalization is all about . . . Dada. It is to the point where Gabe from her daycare goes home and says to his parents: "Alice, dadadadadadada." as he tells them what Alice talks about all day. Too cute!

We've not made it to sauerbraten yet, although the boys have had bratwurst. Sam has had pickled herring in deference to his Swedish ancestors, and both have defiantly sampled their father's beer. Erzählen Sie der Polizei nicht!
