Alice is very into all things truck-like . . . trucks, vans, backhoes, excavators, cement trucks, fire engines, scissor lifts, airplanes . . . when we walk in the morning, if she sees a truck and we continue walking, she soon signals for more. Happily, the Summer construction season is in full swing and there are trucks aplenty!
As a contrast, her daycare provider Amy told us yesterday that one of the older girls was practising her ballet, and Alice was copying her moves. This morning we asked Alice if she was going to do ballet at school today. She immediately lifted her shirt and pointed to her belly. Ballet, said Tom, and demonstrated. Alice caught on immediately and began her routine. Cheryl then led an impromptu class of plies, releves, and arabesques. The arabesques were hialroius, as no feel left the ground, yes very graceful.
She is well rounded, our girl.
Sorry for the lack of posts. Work is still going strong, and with the heat I have been falling into bed at night.
